United by a love of old school death metal, and newer schools of extreme music, alongside swirling and abstract lyrics, the entity that is BASTARD rests on zero compromise to bring forth challenging music.

An object of consequence, born out of necessity... BASTARD was concieved to placate time at home... via the fertile mind of Þorvaldur (ex-Helshare). Joining forces with Anton (Kaun/IX) and Óðinn (ex-Stillbirth), the basic premise of BASTARD took shape during Dec. ´07... needing only 2 more members to complete this cult of horror. These missing pieces were found via Kjarri (Severed Crotch) and MiK (Hostile) and, the unit was complete by Feb. ´08.

Then, a shift in dynamics with the departure of Óðinn, (to concentrate upon his solo project)... and the entrance of Gunni Svenn (ex-Helshare). With minimal loss of momentum, BASTARD returned to the stage, more powerful and faster than before.

2009 marked a new attack on recording what was to become Bastard´s debut ´Dementia and Filth´... with more shows performed and a fanbase growing with each passing day.

Having recorded their 2009 debut album, ´Dementia and Filth´, BASTARD are ready to unleash their art upon the masses. Through a consistant DIY work ethic, BASTARD have chalked up numerous shows, accumulating an ever-expanding fanbase, both locally and globally, and are ready for the next phase in bringing their dark, morbid art to the rest of the scene.
